Deep Water Running Belts

Accredited Training Company director Lyn Quirk designed the most effective and comfortable Deep Water Running Belt. This belt also keeps you more buoyant than a normal belt as it is made out of a high density closed cell foam covered by a nylon chlorine resistant sleeve that will outlast and out perform any other Deep Water Running Belt available.

The QuirksQuatics Deep Water Running Belt are scuba diving webbing with plastic scuba buckles and sewn with a nylon thread. They are worn above the hips and around the lower back and stomach to provide support to the spine. They can also be separated and placed below the knees to lower the centre of buoyancy.

We have been using the belts in Deep Water Running Classes at Miami Pool for the past 10 years and they are also used at other pools and resorts offering classes. They have primarily been sold through mail order, word of mouth and at pools and resorts that conduct deep water running classes.

Sports clubs use them for alternative fitness workouts and recovery and many athletes use them to maintain fitness levels while recuperating from injury. They are excellent for the elderly and arthritis sufferers to use as it provides them with support and security whilst doing exercise in the pool without any body impact or jarring.

The belts are durable – we’ve been using them for 6-7 years daily in our deep water running exercise classes conducted at Miami Pool. Many Physios use and recommend the use of our belts for rehabilitation purposes.
