This unit of competency provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. The student must be over 14 years of age or have written parental/guardian consent to attend. Two (2) hours of practical training including practical assessment is required for this unit. CPR is valid for 1 year. We email a 12 months reminder letter annually.

The Provide Advanced Resuscitation Techniques course, trains participants in the provision of advanced first aid resuscitation techniques, life support, and management of casualty(s), until the arrival of medical or other assistance, as well as the provision of support to other First Aid providers. This is a four (4) hour course.

In general, it is recommended that people using advanced resuscitation techniques have completed HLTAID003 – Provide First Aid. For the refresher course, the participants must produce a current Advanced Resuscitation Certification (or equivalent) and the duration is still four (4) hours practical only.
Our CPR course fee differs depending on the course variation. A New CPR is $50, CPR /A&A is $80 and CPR/LV is $80. Please inquire for more information.
