We have not been able to sup­ply enough staff to meet the demand at pools for Life­guards and Learn to Swim Teach­ers.
Austswim instruc­tors are in demand. This is a great way to earn money while at uni or over the school hol­i­days. No stress, fun, reward­ing, casual job in your bathers — that can be organ­ised around other committments.

AUSTSWIM — TEACHER OF INFANTS   

This prac­ti­cal hands on 1 day elec­tive course qual­i­fies you to teach Infants from 6 weeks to 4 years of age. The age group in which most chil­dren are com­menc­ing to learn to swim. Most Learn to Swim pools pre­fer teach­ers to gain this qualification.

Once You’ve Found a Course!

Once you have found a course you wish to par­tic­i­pate in, please fol­low these steps:

1. Enrol in the Course by down­load­ing an enrol­ment form. (Check course dates first!)

2. Pay for your Course. (See Pay­ments for more information.)

3. Com­plete the Course Workbook.

4. Attend the Course and hand in your work­book.

5. Enrol into one or more of the other elec­tives to fur­ther your skills, knowl­edge and employ­ment opportunities.

6. Renew your cer­tifi­cate (if applicable).
